Privacy Policy

The short version

Ganakam is built to need as little of your data as possible. The calculators run entirely in your browser - the figures you enter (income, salary, loan amounts, investments) are processed on your device and are never sent to us or stored on our servers. You do not need an account to use any tool.

What we do and don't collect

We do not collect or store the numbers you type into any calculator.

We do collect a limited amount of standard information:

• Usage analytics. We use an analytics tool (such as Google Analytics) that sets cookies to record anonymous, aggregate usage - pages viewed, device type, approximate region, and how tools are used - so we can improve the site.
• Affiliate referrals. When you click an affiliate link, our affiliate networks (such as Cuelinks and INRDeals) or the advertiser may set cookies to attribute the referral. See our disclosure page.
• Server logs. Like most websites, our host records basic technical data such as IP address and browser type for security and reliability.
• Messages you send us. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write, and use it only to reply.

Cookies

We use cookies for analytics and affiliate attribution as described above. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the calculators will still work.

Third parties

We rely on a small number of third-party services: our analytics provider, our hosting/CDN provider, and affiliate networks. Each has its own privacy policy governing the data it processes, and we encourage you to read them.

Legal framework and your rights

We handle any personal data in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the DPDP Rules, 2025. As a Data Principal you may request access to, correction of, or erasure of personal data we hold about you, and you may raise a grievance. To exercise any of these, contact us at contact@ganakam.in and we will respond within a reasonable period.

Data retention and security

We retain analytics data only as long as needed to understand and improve the site, per our provider's settings, and we take reasonable measures to protect the limited data we handle.

Children

Ganakam is a general-purpose informational tool and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.

Changes

We may update this policy as the site or the law evolves; the "last updated" date above will reflect any change.
